We like to say, just SPIT and SEND.  But to use DNA as genealogical tool, you must test the right person.  Follow this rule of thumb:

Two things to consider if you wish to use DNA as a genealogical tool. 

1) autosomal tests are reliable for about 5 generations, so you will want to test the eldest family members.

2) if on a budget consider both the health of family members and actuary tables.

Why MyHeritage DNA?

Mother's Day, $39 sale ends today Why a3Genealogy Uses  MyHeritage DNA ? Our  a3Genealogy DNA Team  particularly likes the fact that  MyHeritage DNA 1) connects us to more British and Ireland cousins, 2)  has a great Auto Cluster tool 3) accepts the raw data from other genealogy sites (i.e. ancestry.com, 23and me) 4) it has a chromosome tool .
